How to Thrive in an Upside-Down world is my 3rd book on how to de-school and educate yourself and (if you're a parent) your kids. I realized that most of the history and science I taught my daughters in their homeschooling journey were lies and propaganda. Mea culpa. I was just sharing what I had been taught in my 18 years of schooling. I didn't even learn the truth while getting my MBA at Carnegie Mellon.
Writing this book is my solution. I don't want you to waste another precious moment of your life confused or distracted by propaganda.
Why I Wrote this Book
I support families who want to educate their children to protect their genius and ensure that they become happy, self-sufficient adults who are 100% responsible for their lives. My last book, Healing from School, goes into detail about the dark history and underbelly of schooling.
Most of what is taught in school is designed to confuse and mis-educate us. We get out of school with a mistaken view of how the world and nature operate. We plod along the boring treadmill of college and corporate jobs that is presented to us. We deserve so much more! We deserve to thrive and enjoy our lives.
This book is a practical guide with links to carefully curated resources. It debunks the lies and propaganda we were taught is school. This book is intended for people trying to sort out fact from fiction and those wanting to home educate their kids with integrity. You do not need to be a parent to benefit from this book!
I see too many people who chose willful ignorance because of fear. If you really want to thrive in life, you need to know how the game of life is played. If you are considering home educating your children, please do not reproduce school at home. You will just be wasting your time and energy.
